Care of Graphics Guidelines

Pop Up Display Systems

  • All graphics should be rolled on a clean flat surface with the image on the outside to no less than 300 mm diameter.
  • Although very robust, graphics should not be folded or bent to avoid kinking the polyester base film.
  • Care should be taken not to drop the graphic panels on their edges, this will cause damage to the magnetic tape or even de-lamination.
  • Under normal circumstances graphics will remain clean. Occasionally, if they get dusty on the image side, they can be wiped over with a damp cloth. Finger prints on the reverse can be cleaned with methylated spirits.

Banner Stand Systems

  • Tension Banner Stand system graphics should be treated as per the Pop up display graphics.
  • Roller Banner Stand system graphics should be lowered 'slowly' and guided into the cassette mechanism whilst firmly holding the top header bar.

The pole hook attached to the top strip should be kept in line with the pole while lowering the graphic, in order to ensure the graphic is centred while being lowered.  This is equally important to avoid user damage to both laminated and textile graphics.

If the graphic is allowed to “just” drop in to the cassette, this also may result in the top header bar tearing the graphic, kinking or even becoming detached and the graphic disappearing in to the cassette mechanism.
