Environmental Display, Exhibition & Promotional Products

Reusability is a core value of all Promoteright's solutions. We have always believed passionately that there is a better way than the "build and burn" philosophy that has dominated the majority of display and exhibition construction, and the “cheap and cheerful” approach to the supporting promotional items.

The Promoteright Way is to encourage the use of environmentally friendly alternatives - modular, reconfigurable display and exhibition solutions: engineered from the start to be used again and again - as the marketing needs of the stand evolve, so does the system to accommodate it, and, promotional items that are either produced from recycled material or recyclable in their own right.

ISO 14001 International Environmental Standard

Promoteright are now delighted to be able to offer the first (and, so far, only) ISO 14001 produced solutions in the display and exhibition industry – solutions that, even at the end of their long "useful life", continue to be environmentally sound as they are manufactured using 80% recyclable material.

Recognized in 130 countries, ISO 14001 is rapidly becoming the internationally accepted Environmental Standard. ISO14001 is an environmental management system designed to rigorously drive improvement in an organisation's environmental impact.

Measurable Environmental Objectives

Specific and measurable environmental objectives in the production of these solutions include -

Objective - To reduce the emission of solvents to the atmosphere.
Targets - To comply with legal limits, and seek to reduce by finding alternatives for Solvent based adhesives (already one of the only solutions in the exhibition industry not to use solvent based inks).
Measured by - Monitoring the use of solvent based adhesive.

Objective - To reduce the usage of natural resources, specifically gas, electricity, and petroleum.
Targets - To reduce all gas electricity and Petroleum usage by 5%.
Measured by - CWIC reports.

Objective - To reduce the new material in exhibition displays by efficient design and maximizing the reconfiguration of exhibition stands and the use of hire components.
Targets - To increase the relative use of Hire solutions by 10%.
Measured by - Internal MRP Systems.

Objective - To reduce the amount of waste going to landfill
Target - To reduce to zero the waste going direct to landfill, and by 50% the amount ultimately being land filled
Measured by - Monthly reports from waste carriers.

Objective - To comply with all environmental legislation
Targets - To be aware of all relevant environmental legislation and be fully compliant.
Measured by - Internal Audit, External Audit by CWIC and BSI.

Other Environmental policies and goals include

Recyclability

A recycle programme for all paper, cardboard, and aluminium so that the unavoidable waste from administration and production are recycled. Our quotations and invoices are supplied in electronic format and our marketing strategy has deliberately moved away from paper-based campaigns where possible, resulting in a reduction of 80% in printed matter.

Reduction of Harmful compounds in graphic production

Specifically, the use of solvent based printing.

WEEE Compliance (for the safe disposal of lighting and electronic equipment)

As a supplier of electrical and electronic equipment, Promoteright complies with the requirements of The European Union's Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive as below.

Producer responsibility

As is usual in a B2B supply chain, responsibility for safe disposal of electrical and electronic equipment is transferred to our customers. However we commit to arranging for the safe disposal or recycling of any lights or electronic equipment we supply and which is returned to us by customers in a non-contaminated condition.

WEEE Marking

Where products are subject to the WEEE Directive we endeavour to supply those compliant with the WEEE marking requirements. Such products are marked with the "crossed out wheelie bin" WEEE symbol in accordance with European Standard EN 50419. This symbol indicates that these items require special treatment on disposal.
